16 Apr 2014 by GrahamSmith

Qatar Airways will launch a daily, non-stop route between Doha and Bali this summer.

The airline will initially operate the service, which begins on July 21, with an A330-300, but will change this to a Dreamliner in October.

The B787 will have a two-cabin configuration, with 22 seats in business and 232 in economy.

Outbound flight QR962 departs Doha daily at 0235 and arrives at Bali Denpesar at 1735 local time, while return service QR963 leaves Bali Denpesar at 1935 and lands in Doha at 2359 local time.

Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways, said: "We are delighted to confirm that the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will operate on this route from later this year, offering the very latest in design and comfort to passengers who wish to travel on this non-stop route from the Middle East."

Earlier this week, the airline announced that it will increase services on its Doha to Moscow route to 14 weekly from September (see news, April 14).
