Air China has announced to that it will launch a Beijing-Washington DC service on June 10.
The flight will depart Beijing Capital airport (PEK) on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1300 and arriving Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) at 1435. The return leg will leave the US at 1635 and touch down at 1815 the following day at PEK.
The route will be operated by a 311-seat B777-300ER, consisting of eight first class seats configured 1-2-1; 42 business seats arranged 2-2-2; and 261 economy seats in 3-3-3 configuration. Starting from last February, the carrier has been introducing the aircraft to other destinations in the continental United States, including San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles and Houston (see here).
The only other airline linking the capitals of the world's two largest economies is United, which flies the route daily with a B777-200.
