Hyatt will open its first Andaz hotel in Japan in June.
The Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills is located on floors 47 to 52 of the 52-storey Toranomon Hills tower in the centre of the city between the Imperial Palace and Tokyo Tower.
The wing-shaped tower stands 247 metres tall and is the second-tallest building in the city. It will also house residences, shops and conference venues.
Its opening on June 11 will make it the 12th hotel to join the boutique-style Andaz brand.
A statement said: "Stretching directly outward from Toranomon Hills tower is a 14km looped road development set to become one of the most popular boulevards in Tokyo.
"The road will feature a tunnel running underneath the tower, creating open spaces on the ground-level."
Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills will have 164 guestrooms, of which 16 are suites, ranging in size from 50 to 220 sqm. All are located on the 47th to 50th floors and offer "unparalleled" views of Tokyo’s skyline.
The hotel will also feature an open-air bar, event space and a chapel on the 52nd floor, an all-day organic dining restaurant on the 51st floor, and a 20-metre infinity pool alongside a spa and fitness centre on the 37th floor.
On the rooftop of the 52nd floor will be "a modern take on a Katsura Rikyu villa, the quintessential example of Japanese architecture and garden design".
Last month, it was announced that Hyatt will open its first Andaz property in Germany in 2017 (see news, February 18).
