Accor is opening a Sofitel hotel in Dubai on May 1.
The five-star Sofitel Dubai Downtown, which will be the luxury brand's seventh property in the Middle East, is located on Sheikh Zayed Road and faces Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
It contains 350 rooms, including 76 suites, all of which feature marble bathrooms, deluxe French amenities such as Lanvin and Hermes, free wifi and Nespresso coffee machines.
The suites come with panoramic views of either the Burj Khalifa or the coastline.
The hotel also has four restaurants, two bars, an infinity pool, a gym and a spa. There are 14 meeting rooms and a 600-capacity ballroom.
Christophe Landais, chief operating officer of Accor Hotel Services Middle East, said: "The Sofitel Dubai Downtown offers a piece of France in Dubai for luxury travellers.
"This hotel gracefully blends French art de vivre with local Dubai culture, and is sure to attract discerning travelers as Sofitel Luxury Hotels' portfolio grows continuously around the globe."
Accor recently added a second Berlin hotel, Sofitel Berlin Kurfurstendamm, to its Sofitel brand (see news, January 1).
