Intercontinental Hotels Group is opening its first Hotel Indigo in Madrid next month.
The central Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Via contains 85 individually-designed guestrooms that draw inspiration from the local area.
On the ground floor is the Gastrobar and Restaurant which serves Mediterranean food, wine and cocktails.
Wifi is free throughout the hotel and there are Nespresso machines in every room.
It will be IHG’s second Hotel Indigo property in Spain, alongside Hotel Indigo Barcelona which opened in 2012. It currently has 13 Indigo properties in Europe.
IHG’s Tom Rowntree said: “Hotel Indigo Madrid – Gran Via will be the second Hotel Indigo to open in Spain. With a further 15 in the pipeline in Europe, the Hotel Indigo brand is experiencing considerable growth.
“This newest addition to the brand truly encapsulates the style and charm of Madrid, a chic cosmopolitan city for guests to enjoy both inside and out. We look forward to welcoming guests to this special neighbourhood.”
IHG this week opened first Russian Hotel Indigo in the city of St. Petersburg.
The 119-room Hotel Indigo St. Petersburg – Tchaikovskogo is located between the Neva and Fontanka rivers, the Summer Garden and Tavricheskiy Garden, and close to the main street of Nevskiy Prospect.
