4 Mar 2014 by Alex McWhirter

Lufthansa will deploy the latest variant of the iconic B747, namely the 362-seater, three-class B747-8, on its Frankfurt to Sao Paulo route.

The move takes place on March 29, in time for this summer's World Cup in Brazil.

Lufthansa is rostering the B747-8 for daily flights LH506 and LH507 and is proudly highlighting the plane type on its website booking pages.

Outbound service LH506 departs Frankfurt at 2155 and arrives into Sao Paulo the following day at 0455.

Return flight LH507 departs Sao Paulo at 1840 to land back into Frankfurt the next day at 1115. Note that, on this particular sector, the B747-8 will operate from March 30.

Connecting flights are available at Frankfurt for both domestic and European cities served by Lufthansa.
