Air China to fly Beijing-Vienna-Barcelona

4 Mar 2014 by GrahamSmith

Air China will launch a four-times weekly Beijing-Vienna-Barcelona service in May.

The route, which begins on May 5, will be operated by a widebody A330-300 on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Outward service CA841 will depart Bejing at 0210 and land in Vienna at 0610, before arriving in Barcelona at 0925.

Return flight CA842 will take-off from Barcelona at 1125, arrive in Vienna at 1325 and again in Beijing at 0555 the next day. All times are local.

Business class on the A330-300 will contain fully-flat seats.

The airline said in a statement: "Air China's Beijing-Vienna-Barcelona service will not only make it easier to travel between east Asia and central and southern Europe, sparing passengers the trouble of having to make transfers, but also offer an additional option to travellers between such cities as Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Manila and Europe."

Air China currently operates more than 100 flights per week between China and Europe.

From March 30, the carrier will resume its Beijing to London Gatwick service (see news, November 11).
