All Nippon Airways is introducing onboard wifi on some international flights next month.
Online access will be available to passengers in all classes on select routes serviced by B777-300ER and B767-300ER aircraft.
Prices will start at $6 for up to 5MB, $12 for up to 10MB and $24 for up to 20MB.
From March 1, passengers will be able to use their own devices, such as a smartphone or tablet, to go online, provided they are in 'flight mode".
In a statement, the Japanese carrier said: "The new service is introduced in response to customer requests for onboard internet access, as more people become accustomed to using smartphone and tablet technology on the move.
"We are delighted to introduce this service which will allow our customers to experience even more convenient and enjoyable flights with ANA."
ANA is launching new services from Tokyo Haneda to London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Vancouver, Jakarta, Hanoi and Manila this year (see news, December 9).
