Air France will deploy an A380 on its Paris-Hong Kong route from the end of May to accommodate increased demand during the summer season.
From May 27 to June 8, the carrier’s Airbus A380 will operate the service four times weekly, while the Boeing 777-300 will serve the remaining three flights. From June 9 to October 25, the route will be served exclusively by the superjumbo.
Air France flight 188 will depart Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport at 2325, and arrive in Hong Kong International Airport at 1720 the following day. The return leg will see flight 187 leave Hong Kong at 0050 and touch down in Paris at 0800 the same day.
Hong Kong will be the second Chinese destination served by the A380 after Shanghai. The 516-seat superjumbo sports a four cabin class configuration with nine seats in first (La Première), 80 in business, 38 in premium economy and 389 seats in economy.
During the summer, Air France’s nine A380s will serve five other destinations in addition to Hong Kong and Shanghai: Los Angeles, New York-JFK, San Francisco, Washington DC and Johannesburg.
