Emirates launches A380 on Barcelona services

10 Feb 2014 by Clement Huang

Emirates has launched the first ever regular A380 service to Barcelona. The gulf carrier’s superjumbo replaces the Boeing 777-300ER on its daily Dubai to Barcelona service.

According to the airline, the upgrade is in direct response to strong passenger demand. The switch increases capacity on the route by almost 44 per cent, with an additional 2,200 seats offered each week between the two cities.

The A380-800 features a three-class configuration, with 14 private suites in first, 76 lie-flat bed seats in business, and 399 in economy. This marks an increase in seat capacity of 6, 32 and 95 for each class respectively.

Flight EK0185 departs daily from Dubai International Airport at 0740 and arrives in Barcelona’s El Prat Airport at 1210. The return leg, EK0186, leaves Barcelona at 1525 and touches down in Dubai at 0045.
