Emirates to double flights to Dublin

10 Jan 2014 by GrahamSmith

Emirates is to double the number of flights it operates between its Dubai hub and Dublin.

The Gulf carrier currently runs a daily service between the two cities and deploys a B777-300ER on the route.

In September, it plans to fly a second aircraft to the Irish capital, Emirates CEO Tim Clark said this week.

The announcement was made as the airline celebrated the second anniversary of its Dublin route at an event in Dubai that was attended by Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny.

Emirates launched the route on January 9, 2012 (see news, January 2012).
