Virgin Atlantic launches credit card miles offer

Black Credit CardVirgin Atlantic is rewarding customers that sign-up to one of its MBNA loyalty credit cards with a bonus of up to 25,000 Flying Club miles.

The Virgin Atlantic Black Credit Card account has an annual fee of £140, while its sister White Credit Card account is free. Both come with an American Express card and a Visa.

Black card customers receive 18,500 miles immediately on opening an account. A further 6,500 miles are credited if £2,000 is spent in the first 90 days. Every £1 spent earns two miles on the Amex card and one mile on the Visa.

White card customers receive 3,000 miles immediately, and a further 7,000 miles if £1,000 is spent in the first 90 days. Every £1 spent earns one mile on the Amex and 0.5 miles on the Visa.

Among many incentives, the Black card offers an upgrade voucher from economy to premium economy for a miles redemption after spending £5,000 and a second at £10,000. The White card offers the same after spending £10,000 and £20,000.

In order to qualify, customers need to apply for either card by March 31.
