Hilton's luxury Waldorf Astoria brand has opened its first hotel in Dubai.
The 319-room Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, which is the second Waldorf Astoria property in the United Arab Emirates, is located on the East Crescent of Palm Jumeirah.
It features four restaurants, two bars, a private beach, a large top-end health club and spa, and Peacock Alley, named after the high-society promenade lounge which connected the original Waldorf and Astoria hotels in New York.
The property also contains eight naturally-lit meeting spaces and a 600-person capacity ballroom.
John TA Vanderslice, global head of luxury and lifestyle brands at Hilton Worldwide, said: "The increasing number of international arrivals into Dubai and the growing aspiration of visitors to explore the Emirate's iconic island has created a demand which we can readily satisfy with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah."
Hilton is opening a Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam this spring (see news, October 1).
