Cityjet to up capacity on LCY routes

8 Jan 2014 by GrahamSmith

Cityjet will increase capacity on several London City routes on March 30 as part of its summer 2014 schedule.

The airline will up the number of weekday flights between both LCY and Dublin and LCY and Paris from five to seven.

It will also double the number of weekly flights on its LCY to Florence route from six to 12 as well as increase weekly flights between LCY and Toulon from two to three.

Cityjet is also launching new routes from Cardiff to Glasgow and Paris this month and to Jersey and Edinburgh in March (see news, December 20).

Simon Spinks, Cityjet's chief commercial officer said: "We are working on a series of improvements to enhance the travel experience for our customers, and optimising our network is the first step. It is designed to offer passengers more choice and convenient schedules to choose from.

"We are confident that the changes to our summer schedule represent what our customers want and further will help to reinforce Cityjet's position as being the European regional airline of choice."

Last year, the airline was forced to cancel its London City to Edinburgh route (see news, August 14).
