China Eastern will launch a Wenzhou-Rome service starting December 24.
The route will be operated by an A330-200 with 264 seats in two classes – 24 business seats configured 2-2-2; and 240 economy seats arranged 2-4-2.
The service will depart Wenzhou Longwan International Airport every Tuesday and Thursday at 1130 and arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport at 1815. The return leg, meanwhile, will leave the Italian capital at 2015 and return to China at 1610 the next day.
Located in Zhejiang Province, Wenzhou's main industries include electrical machinery, leather products, plastic manufacturing, textile and garment production, transport equipment and chemical products. The Wenzhou Economic & Technological Development Zone is encouraging ever more companies in these industries to establish a presence in the city.
