Sichuan Airlines to launch Sydney service

16 Dec 2013 by ahmarshah
Sichuan Airlines will launch a direct service from Chongqing to Sydney twice a week on December 20. The airline will deploy an Airbus A330 between the two destinations every Tuesday and Friday. The flight will leave the Chinese southwest city from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at 0100 and arrive at Sydney Airport on the same day at 1400. The return leg will depart at 2145 and return to Chongqing at 0445 the next day. An airline representative said the aircraft has 245 seats with 36 first class seats, 209 economy, and no business class. This is Sichuan Airlineā€™s second route to Australia. In February, the airline began a non-stop service from Chengdu to Melbourne (see story here). Links between China and Australia are increasing, with China Southern also recently having launched a Sydney route (see story here). For more informationĀ www.scal.com.cn/B2C Wendy Tang
