Taiwanese carrier Eva Air has signed a codeshare agreement with Singapore Airlines, its first codeshare since joining Star Alliance in June.
The agreement covers the three daily flights — one by Eva Air and the other two by SIA — that the airlines operate between their respective home hubs of Taipei and Singapore.
As per the agreement, Eva Air will add its "BR" code on SIA's two daily flights to Taipei. In return, SIA will add "SQ" code on the daily Eva Air-operated flight to Singapore.
Timetable: The codesharing flight details
The SIA-operated flights will be serviced by an A330-300, and will feature a two-class configuration with 30 seats in business and 255 in economy.
Eva Air's daily flight will be operated by the B777-300ER, offering a three-class configuration, with 38 seats in business (branded as Royal Laurel), 63 in premium economy (Elite), and 211 in economy.
The codesharing arrangements take effect today and tickets for the services are now available.
Eva Air introduced its new business class cabin on flights from Taipei to London Heathrow earlier this year (see news, July 8).
