Pullman Hotels and Resorts, under French hospitality group Accor, is set to open Pullman Shanghai South in China's premier commercial city in January 2014.
Housed in a 23-storey building in the city centre, the hotel will be a part of Star Plaza, a development that will also include a separate commercial building and a four-level shopping mall. The location is a 20 minutes' drive from Shanghai Hongqiao airport, and within easy reach of South Xujiahui Business Circle, Caohejing Hi-Tech Park, Shanghai South Railway Station, and Shanghai Stadium.

Pullman Shanghai South is to offer 388 guestrooms and suites – all of which feature contemporary interiors, and amenities such as flat screen TV, workdesk, and coffee/tea making facilities. In addition, guests staying on the executive floor will have access to the hotel’s club lounge.

There will be five dining options available, including an all-day-dining restaurant that offers both Western and Eastern cuisine and a Chinese restaurant that will serve Cantonese dishes with local influences. In addition, the Japanese restaurant will feature a teppanyaki island and a sake bar. Rounding things up is the lobby lounge and Bar 99 where guests can enjoy a comprehensive selection of wines, champagne, and cocktails.
For relaxation there are the indoor swimming pool, fitness lounge and spa. In terms of meeting facilities the 1,300sqm grand ballroom on the third floor will have a capacity for up to 1,200 people. There will also be seven function rooms of various sizes and fully adaptable for multi-purpose events.
