Pentahotels has signed a management agreement with Henan Guozhiji Real Estate Development Company Limited to operate a new property in China.

Located in Henan Province, Pentahotel Luohe is expected to open in 2016, boosting the brand’s growing Asia portfolio, which includes properties in Beijing (pictured), Shanghai and Hong Kong. For an in-depth first look at the Hong Kong property, click here.

Luohe is an important transportation hub in the mid-south of Henan province, and is accessible by major railroads and roads from key cities such as Beijing and Guangzhou. The main airport is located in Zhengzhou, the capital of the province, and is roughly a one-hour drive from Luohe.

Pentahotel Luohe offers 224 guestrooms and will occupy the top floors of a 37-storey building. The complex will also house offices, residential spaces, and a shopping mall. Measuring 180 metres, the structure is set to be the tallest building in the city.

While no information about facilities and amenities has been revealed yet, the hotel will definitely feature the brand’s signature Pentalounge, which combines a lobby, reception and café into one single space.

Pentahotel currently manages 18 hotels in Europe and Asia, with another 11 properties expected to open in 2014. The self-proclaimed “design-led, neighbourhood lifestyle” hotel brand is aiming to establish 80 Pentahotels worldwide by the end of 2020.
