China Eastern will fly to Singapore from Qingdao via Wuxi starting December 18.

The route will be serviced by a 152-seat A320-200, configured with eight business and 144 economy seats. The flight will depart Qingdao every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 1700, and arrive in Wuxi at 1800, leaving again at 1900 and landing in Singapore at 0020. The return leg will operate every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, leaving Singapore at 0200, arriving in Wuxi at 0700, and departing again at 0800 for a 0900 touchdown in Qingdao.

With this additional service, the airline will have a total of five routes in and out of Singapore, including the service from Nanchang via Nanning to Singapore, which launched last month (see story here).

Wuxi is located in southern Jiangsu province in China. It is a modern industrial and commercial city, consisting of two large industrial parks, including Wuxi New District and Wuxi Export Processing Zone. The city is also a manufacturing centre for textiles and one of China's solar technology hubs.
