British Airways and its partner Elemis have unveiled a new Club World amenity kit and refurbished spa at Heathrow Terminal 5.

The upgraded spa facility will include “3D massage chairs” that replicate “the hands and techniques of a therapist while customers enjoy treatments focused on their hands, feet or head and shoulder area”.

It will also feature complimentary products, while passengers will also be able to order discounted products online.

BA is also rolling out a new-look amenity kit in Club World from early December.

The in-flight drawstring bag is designed to double-up as a shoe or lingerie/underwear holder and includes travel-size products to refresh, revive and rehydrate.

The men’s Club World amenity kid includes shaving gel, pro-collagen marine cream, lip balm, razor, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste and a pen.

The women’s kit includes pro-collagen marine cream, anti-ageing moisturiser, apricot facial wipe, lip balm, hand and nail cream, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste and a pen.

However, neither kit contains an eye mask nor ear plugs.

Kate Thornton, BA’s head of product and service, said: “We conducted extensive research with our customers and through speaking to them, developed a new design for our amenity kits.

“Our crew continue to offer eye masks and ear plugs when handing out the amenity kits. However, we know that not all customers want them, some carry their own personal noise reducing headsets and personal eye masks and some chose not to sleep on day flights.

“Therefore, by making these items optional, we are reducing waste and increasing the size of the items customers tell us are most important to them.”
