Jinjiang Hotel Group’s first Metropolo mid-range business hotel brand property – Metropolo Jinjiang Hotel – opened its doors in Shanghai recently.
The property is located at 918 West Yan’an Elevated Road, near Jiangsu Road, about 15-minutes walking distance from Jiangsu Road station. It is also a 20-minute drive from Hongqiao International Airport. The 111 rooms consist of 19 suites, 66 king-bed and 26 twin-bed guestrooms. The interiors feature a trendy mix of Chinese and Western-style furniture.
There is a café on the first floor offering Chinese and Western cuisine for breakfast, tea and dinner. The hotel also has free wifi, a gym and a courtyard.
Christopher Sheldon, general manager of the property, said this new brand appeals to travellers looking for mid-range business hotels at great value – with rates starting at RMB500 (US$82).
In the coming three to five years, the group plans to build and renovate 100 Metropolo properties.
