United Airlines has launched a new mobile application for the iOS 7 platform. The new app supports all earlier iOS versions and introduces a number of new features.
Travel wallet is a shortcut that holds all relevant flight information in one place, including upcoming reservations, mobile boarding passes and flight status notifications.

In previous versions, flight information was stored in different sections of the app. Creating a single section that holds all relevant information provides a more comprehensive summary of upcoming trips.
Another new feature is the travel cards interface, which allows users to get their information quickly. Located directly on the home screen, users can add cards to their travel wallets, and access them by simply swiping left on the home screen.

The new app is designed for the iPhone but will be compatible with the iPad as well (although users will have to be content with an enlarged version of the iPhone app). United intends to launch a similar application for the new Android operating system, KitKat, in the coming months.
