Mandarin Oriental has started providing high-speed wifi for free to guests who create an online profile and book published rates on the hotel group's website.
Guests who do so then receive online connectivity "via superior bandwidths" for up to six personal devices.
Booking on the Mandarin Oriental website will guarantee the lowest rates, the group promises, while "creating an online profile ensures that guests' preferences and needs are better met".
Michael Hobson, Mandarin's chief marketing officer, said: "At Mandarin Oriental we pride ourselves on providing exceptional service, and in this digital age, we understand that fast internet connections are essential.
"With the added benefit of being able to seamlessly connect up to six devices in the comfort of their room, our guests can work comfortably and efficiently."
As an extension, guests who book Mandarin's best available rate via selected travel agency partners will also receive complimentary high-speed internet access.
Meanwhile, it today emerged that free wifi or internet services is the amenity that hoteliers believe to be the most valued by European business travellers, according to a survey.
Some 93 per cent of European hoteliers voted it the top business traveller amenity for the third year running, research by Choice Hotels Europe showed.
Respondents were divided on the next most valuable amenity with Italian (62 per cent) and German hoteliers (80 per cent) then ranking 24-hour security as the second most important feature while Britons (65 per cent) gave second position to free breakfast.
The least valued amenities were fitness centres and business centres with only 14 and 16 per cent respectively of European respondents believing that business travellers value them.
