18 Nov 2013 by Clement Huang

Hilton Worldwide has opened its newest hotel in Jiaxing, China. Doubletree by Hilton Jiaxing is the brand’s 16th property in China, as well as the first internationally branded full-service hotel in Jiaxing.

Located in the city centre, close to key business and shopping areas, the new property is situated 7.5 km from Jiaxing Railway Station, and 17.5 km from the city’s high-speed train hub, making it convenient for travellers to travel to nearby Chinese cities such as Shanghai and Hangzhou.

“Jiaxing does not only have a huge cultural significance in China and beautiful scenery, but it is also uniquely located between the major cities of Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou,” said Bruce McKenzie, senior vice president of operations, Greater China & Mongolia, Hilton Worldwide.

The new hotel is housed within a six-storey building and features 274 guestrooms with widescreen LCD televisions, coffee making facilities, internet access, and mini bars. Guests staying in executive rooms are also entitled to use the hotel’s club lounge, which offers complimentary breakfast, snacks and refreshments throughout the day.

Doubletree by Hilton Jiaxing provides several dining options, including Yuxi which offers a mix of Cantonese and Zhejiang cuisine; Open – the hotel’s all-day restaurant that serves the signature Wake-up Doubletree breakfast and regional Asian cuisines; and Nodu Bar, where guests can indulge in local noodles and dumplings. Patrons can also enjoy a selection of both local and international beers and wines at Jin Lounge.

In terms of facilities, there is a fitness room and an indoor swimming pool. The hotel also offers a wide range of event space including a 915 sqm grand ballroom, along with nine multi-functional meeting rooms.
