Best Western GB launches Diamond For Life

Best Western GB has launched "Diamond For Life" for the top tier of its loyalty programme.

Those members who have achieved Diamond status and maintained that status for two full years after qualification will now retain their status for life, even when they become inactve in the programme.

Diamond is earned by staying for 30 eligible nights in participating Best Western hotel(s) in one calendar year, athough note also that Best Western offers a status match if you are a member of "another hotel's loyalty programme and enjoy the equivalent of our Platinum to Diamond membership benefits". Diamond membership benefits include:

  • 15 per cent bonus points on every eligible stay at all participating Best Western hotels worldwide
  • In-hotel member services including, subject to availability, a free room upgrade, early check-in and late check-out, free weekday newspapers, 15 per cent discount on hotel restaurant bills and partner stays free service. (Applicable participating hotels in the UK only, benefits in other countries may vary).

Best Western allows members to earn points in a number of different airline programmes. Details of that can be found here. When the brand partnered with Virgin Atlantic, it produced a parody of that airline's ads whcih can be seen here.

The terms and condtions of the offer are:

  • The membership scheme is run by Best Western (GB) and applies to participating Best Western hotels only.
  • All benefits and services are subject to availability. 
  • Calendar year means a full twelve month period beginning on January 1 and ending on December 31.
  • Eligible night means a full overnight stay at a participating hotel.
  • Individual hotel terms and conditions apply.
  • Best Western GB is entitled to deny or revoke membership to any customer at its sole discretion.
