Double Tree by Hilton opens Wuhu property

Doubletree by Hilton has unveiled its latest property, in Wuhu, China.

Situated in Anhui province, Doubletree by Hilton Wuhu is located in the city’s central business district, near the railway and bus stations. The hotel is also 120 km from Nanjing Lukou International Airport, and is surrounded by popular tourist attractions such as the Fantawild Adventure Amusement Park.

As the second-largest economy in the Anhui province, Wuhu has a GDP of RMB165.8 billion (US$27.2 billion), and is a well-known hub for manufacturing, with key exports being technology, automobiles and cement. Major companies such as IBM, Siemens and Cherry Automotive have a significant presence there.

Doubletree by Hilton Wuhu features 442 guestrooms, including 23 suites. Rooms start at 30 sqm and offer views of either the city centre or the Yangtze River. Amenities include work desks with internet access, 42-inch LCD TVs, tea- and coffee-making facilities and complimentary mineral water.

 

King Premier Deluxe room

Suite sizes start at 60 sqm and feature a separate living room. In addition to the basic amenities provided in all rooms, guests staying at the suites can get access to the hotel’s executive lounge which provides complimentary breakfast, all day tea and coffee, and evening cocktails and snacks.   

There are five dining options. Guests can enjoy light bites and drinks at OPEN Bar, or indulge in a selection of Western, Asian and Chinese regional dishes at the OPEN Bistro. The OPEN Barista offers freshly brewed coffee and snacks. China Harvest serves authentic Chinese specialities from throughout the country, and Mien & Jiao features a selection of steamed or pan-fried dumplings, accompanied with handmade noodles.

There is over 1,600 sqm of meeting space, including the 1,000 sqm ballroom which can accommodate up to 1,100 guests, nine multi-function rooms, and a 24-hour business centre with full secretarial services. There’s also a fitness room and indoor swimming pool.

The Doubletree by Hilton brand has been expanding rapidly in China, with a property in Shenyang opening just last year (see here).
