Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced the unveiling of Four Points by Sheraton Penang. The opening follows the completion of extensive renovation and the rebranding of the property, which was formerly Tanjung Bungah Beach Hotel.
Hotel exterior
The Four Points brand first launched in Malaysia in 2009, and now boasts Starwood’s largest footprint in the country with four properties in Kuching, Langkawi, Sandakan and, now, Penang.
Four Points by Sheraton Penang is located along the beachfront in Tanjung Bungah, roughly 45 minutes away from Penang International Airport. It is also within 15 minutes from the Unesco World Cultural Heritage City of Georgetown, the beach area of Batu Ferringhi and Straits Quay, an up-and-coming destination for dining and shopping and home to the Straits Quay Convention Centre.
Deluxe oceanfront suite bedroom
Each of the property’s 220 guestrooms and suites are equipped with the Four Points signature bed, as well as a LED flatscreen television. The suites also offer a separate living room and pantry area. Complimentary wifi is provided throughout the entire premises.
Outdoor swimming pool
In terms of facilities, Four Points by Sheraton Penang features an outdoor pool looking out to the ocean, and a 24-hour fitness centre. There is also more than 1,100 sqm of flexible meeting space across four venues including two ballrooms and a pre-function area with panoramic seaviews.
The Eatery
Finally, the property offers a range of dining options, including The Eatery that serves a combination of local and international cuisine, and The Best Brew Pub offering a selection of snacks and beers.
