Conrad Hotels & Resorts has added a pre-check-in feature to its Conrad Concierge app.
The luxury brand launched the app last year (see news, November 2012) and it has since been downloaded more than 100,000 times.
Now guests who have downloaded Conrad Concierge onto their smartphone or tablet can, after booking, pre-check into their hotel and provide their estimated time of arrival.
This facility expands a previous service that has been provided to Gold and Diamond Hilton HHonors members since 2005.
Guests can bypass traditional check-in at the hotel, just needing to pick up their room keys. They can also order “special requests” to be ready upon their arrival.
Among other new features added to the app are the ability to link Conrad Concierge to the user’s Facebook or Twitter feed, as well as custom text message notifications and a general “improved user functionality”.
Last month, Hilton Worldwide announced that it is to open its first Conrad hotel in the United Arab Emirates (see news, September 19).
