The Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen is now open for business.
The property is located in the heart of the city’s downtown area, and is within walking distance of major shopping malls and Shenzhen's Civic Center area, which includes the Shenzhen Museum, Concert Hall, and an MTR station which offers easy access to the rest of the city.
Designed by architects Urbanus and interior designers Hirsch Bedner & Associates, the hotel is situated within a contemporary, light-filled tower with a sixth level reception that overlooks green spaces and water courtyards, and offers panoramic views of the city.
Four Seasons Hotel Shenzhen features 266 guestrooms which showcase modern design elements. Most are 50 sqm or more, and amenities include a pillow menu, iPads that act as the guest directory, Nespresso machines, multiple international electrical outlets, flat screen TVs and 15-minute room service menu.
The executive club lounge on the 29th floor serves all-day refreshments, and has workstations, a fully equipped business centre, dedicated check-in concierge services and internet connectivity.
The hotel features a range of dining options. FOO serves a selection of Asian dishes, while Zhuo Yue Xuan offers Cantonese cuisine. Finally, YI Bar & Lounge delivers Chinese and traditional afternoon tea, along with after-work drinks.
There is also a 24-hour fitness centre, along with a sauna, steam room and whirlpool. The hotel also features two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor. Finally, there are a number of events facilities including the Peony Ballroom which seats up to 180 guests, and the larger Four Seasons Ballroom that fits 360.
Four Seasons will now be looking to make its entry into the Korean market with a new property, projected to open in may 2015 (see here).
