Hilton Worldwide is opening a second Doubletree property in Dublin next year when it rebrands The Burlington, one of the city's best known hotels.
The 501-room DoubleTree by Hilton Dublin - Burlington Road is located on Upper Leeson Street and is scheduled to open in the spring following renovation work.
It has 2,100 sqm of banqueting and ballroom space and conference facilities for up to 1,400 delegates.
Doubletree is introducing a dedicated floor featuring 18 conference suites and meeting rooms, each capable of holding 100 delegates.
Every guestroom is being upgraded with a 42-inch flatscreen television.
John Greenleaf, global head of DoubleTree by Hilton, said: "With a fantastic location and boasting 41 years of prestigious history, this hotel is an outstanding addition to our portfolio.
"Visitors to Dublin are already familiar with DoubleTree by Hilton's famous warm welcome and freshly baked chocolate chip cookie at check-in, thanks to the successful opening of The Morrison, a
DoubleTree by Hilton hotel on Ormond Quay, and we're proud to bring yet another of Ireland’s most renowned hotel addresses to our brand."
The news comes after Doubletree by Hilton added two more London hotels to its portfolio this summer (see news, May 5).
