Hilton’s luxury Waldorf Astoria brand will open a new property in Amsterdam in the spring.
The 93-room Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, which is located on the Herengracht canal, was originally six private residences dating back to the 17th century.
Its bedrooms, which number several suites, overlook either the canal or the property’s courtyard garden, which is the largest in the city.
The hotel has two restaurants and a bar. Guests will be able to eat light bites, afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks in Peacock Alley, or drink in the converted underground Vault Bar. There will also be a main traditional restaurant.
Elsewhere, there will be seven meeting rooms and a Grand Ballroom.
Wifi will be available throughout the hotel, which is scheduled to open in March 2014.
In August, the brand opened its first property in the United Arab Emirates (see news, August 15).
