Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has signed a management agreement with Zhejiang Yinan Group to operate a new property in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province in the east of China in 2017.
Known for its expansive textiles industry and rice wine, Shaoxing is undergoing redevelopment, in particular the area of Jinghu where a business district is being constructed. Notable additions there will include a science and technology centre and sport centre.
Located around 40 minutes from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, the new hotel will feature 336 guestrooms and suites, a variety of restaurants, a health club with a 25-metre indoor pool and spa facilities, and a selection of meeting rooms, including a grand ballroom measuring 1,600 sqm.
