Park Hyatt Saigon to renovate in 2014

16 Sep 2013 by Clement Huang

Park Hyatt Saigon will upgrade all of its facilities and guestrooms in 2014 – the hotel’s biggest makeover since opening in 2005.

Offering 244 guestrooms and suites, Park Hyatt Saigon is situated in central Ho Chi Minh City, along Lam Son Square. It is located within walking distance of the business district and various cultural attractions such as the historical Dong Khoi Street, Le Thanh Ton Street and Ton That Thiep Street.

The renovation development will be overseen by Malaysian interior designer EDC, with the aim of giving the hotel a facelift to epitomise the property’s unique French colonial residential feel. The French-inspired ambience will also be blended with modern accents and Vietnamese touches.

Almost all facets of the hotel will receive a makeover, except the two restaurants and bar, which are fairly new and well maintained. Refurbished areas will include all guestrooms and corridors, the pool deck, front desk and business centre, along with the fitness centre and spa facilities.

The new refurbishment will also bring new facilities to the hotel, including an event space by the pool, called the Pool House. The meeting facilities will also be redesigned, and incorporate the latest conferencing technology. Finally, the hotel will be introducing a new room type called the Garden Suite.

Renovation work is expected to commence from February 17 until November, 2014 – but the hotel will only be closed until April 2, 2014 because most of the disruptive work will take place in the beginning stage.

Other Hyatt properties that are also undergoing refurbishment include Grand Hyatt Hong Kong (see here) and Grand Hyatt Taipei (see here).
