Hilton Hotels and Resorts has refurbished and opened its latest hotel in the United Arab Emirates, the Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi.
The 281-room property originally opened in January 2012 as the Rocco Forte Hotel Abu Dhabi (see news, November 2011).
The curved glass hotel is in the city's new Capital District, near to the airport and the National Exhibition Centre.
It features a 700-capacity grand ballroom, a 500-capacity function room, five large meeting rooms, two boardrooms and a business centre.
It also includes seven bars and restaurants, a spa with 15 treatment rooms, a sauna and whirlpool, a 24-hour gym, and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool.
Rob Palleschi, global head of Hilton Hotels and Resorts, said: "The opening of Hilton Capital Grand Abu Dhabi continues the outstanding 40-year legacy the company's flagship hotel brand has enjoyed with the UAE.
"With so many new striking features, the hotel is set to become an exceptional example of the high standards, quality and unrivalled experience guests expect from the region's pre-eminent international hospitality brand."
