China Airlines and China Southern to codeshare on Taoyuan-Urumqi

China Airlines and China Southern have added the Taoyuan-Urumqi route to their codeshare partnership from this month onwards.

These two members of the Sky Team started codesharing back in October of 2010 and the partnership has since grown to include eight services linking Taoyuan with Guangzhou, Shanghai Pudong, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Dalian, Changsha, Zhengzhou and Shenyang. The Taoyuan-Urumqi route will be the ninth.

The service operates six times a week. China Airlines is using a 307-seat A330-300, including 30 business seats arranged in 2-2-2 and 277 economy seats with 2-4-2 configurations; while China Southern has put a B757-200 on the route.
