Ritz-Carlton will open its first hotel in Israel at the end of this year.
The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya was originally scheduled to open in March 2012 (see online news, December 2009).
It is located within the marina in the seafront town of Herzliya, north of Tel Aviv.
The beachfront property has 115 rooms, of which 82 are Ritz-Carlton Residential Suites with sea views, a roof-top swimming pool, a spa and a gym.
Herve Humler, Ritz-Carlton's president and chief operations officer, said: "We are delighted to be opening this exceptional seafront property at a time of historic growth in incoming tourism to Israel.
"The Ritz-Carlton will bring its legendary service standards to Israel and offer the global affluent traveller a destination for both leisure and business in Herzliya."
Ritz-Carlton will also open a hotel in the Chinese city of Tianjin later this year (see online news, January 18).
