BA to fly to Hyderabad daily

5 Aug 2013 by GrahamSmith

British Airways is to increase its flight frequency between London Heathrow and Hyderabad from six weekly to daily from October 27.

The national carrier deploys a Boeing 777-200 in a three-class configuration on the route (to see a seat plan, click here).

The increase mirrors a move made a year ago in October 2012, when BA increased the number of flights on the service from five to six weekly.

Christopher Fordyce, BA's regional commercial manager, South Asia, said: "Our customers from Hyderabad will now be able to enjoy daily service to the UK whilst enjoying British Airways' unmatched inflight services and flying experience.

"For British Airways, Hyderabad is truly a key market in our South Asian network. We have witnessed tremendous growth in the market since 2008, resulting in concerted growth in the outbound business and leisure tourism."

BA currently operates 46 flights a week from LHR to five Indian cities - Delhi, Mumbai Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Last week, it emerged that British Airways will likely resume flights to Jakarta before the end of the year (see online news, July 30).
