All flights to and from Tunisia today have been cancelled due to a nationwide strike called to protest the assassination of a prominent opposition leader.
The strike was called by the county's principal labour organisation following the killing of Mohamed Brahmi outside his home in Tunis.
A spokesman for the country's civil aviation office said last night: "All flights to and from Tunisia will be cancelled tomorrow because the workers at the airport responded to the calling of the general strike."
Protesters gathered in cities around Tunisia yesterday calling for the government to resign.
