Pullman has received the goahead to build a £26 million hotel as part of an exhibition centre in Liverpool.
The four-star property will adjoin the £40 million Exhibition Centre Liverpool.
Construction on both will begin in late autumn after the plans were this week approved by the city's planning committee.
The hotel will include up to 10,500 sqm of floor space and seven storeys of rooms above a ground floor reception, lobby, restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and gym.
It is scheduled to open in spring 2015.
Accor, which owns Pullman, currently has only one other hotel in the UK, in St Pancras, London.
But, in a recent interview with Business Traveller, Accor's chief marketing officer Gregoire Champetier said the company has plans for up to ten Pullman hotels in Britain by 2020 (see online news, May 28).
