ANA to up capacity on Yangon and Chengdu routes

24 Jul 2013 by GrahamSmith

All Nippon Airways is increasing capacity on its Yangon and Chengdu routes later this year.

From September 30, the Japanese carrier will up its Tokyo Narita to Yangon service from three to seven flights per week.

The new daily service will depart Tokyo at 1030 and arrive in Yangon at 1510. The return leg will depart at 2145 and reach Narita at 0650 the following day.

ANA will also increase seat capacity on the route by replacing the B737-700ER which currently operates the route and only seats 38, all in business class, with a B767-300ER that is configured to seat 202, including 35 in business.

The same aircraft switch will also take place on the daily Tokyo Narita to Chengdu route from October 1, although this B767 will have 214 seats.

However, ANA's winter schedule means the Chengdu service will decrease to four weekly flights between October 27 and March 29, 2014.

Flights will depart from Tokyo on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. They will depart Chengdu on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
