Cebu Pacific launches new A330-300s on popular route

10 Jul 2013 by Clement Huang

Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) – the Philippines’ largest national flight carrier – has begun operating its brand new Airbus A330-300 aircraft on the popular Manila-Singapore-Manila route. The aircraft has a single class layout, and seats 436 passengers. This news is the latest development of the airline's extensive expansion plan (see here).

The airline’s first A330-300 aircraft was recently delivered from Toulouse, France and will be deployed to both Incheon and Singapore, before daily Manila-Dubai services commence on October 7. It will provide services to Singapore alongside the older Airbus A320 model. CEB is also expecting a further three A330-300 aircraft to be delivered by 2014 for its long-haul operations.

“This highly efficient wide-body aircraft will allow us to continue offering our trademark lowest fares to our passengers, as they travel to the Philippines and beyond. After the inaugural flights of our first Airbus A330-300 aircraft to Seoul and to Singapore, we look forward to expanding our service offerings to Dubai later this year,” said CEB vice president for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog.

The airline currently flies between Singapore and Manila 25 times weekly. Its network covers a total of 34 domestic and 22 international destinations across Asia.
