Eva Air introduces new business cabin on LHR flights

8 Jul 2013 by GrahamSmith

Eva Air has introduced its new business class cabin on flights from Taipei to London Heathrow.

The Royal Laurel Class seats, which have a 180-degree recline, made their debut on UK flights last Friday and will be available on all London flights by the end of July.

The seats were first introduced on Eva Air's Taipei to New York route in June 2012 and are part of a $100 million upgrade of all the airline's Boeing 777-300ERs.

The Taiwanese carrier flies daily from London Heathrow-Bangkok-Taipei.

Royal Laurel Class features 38 seats in a reverse herringbone layout, enabling passengers at windows to look out without turning.

Each seat aims to create a comfortable "personal space" with features including a "shoe cabinet", retractable armrest, separate cocktail and dining tables as well as Bulgari amenities, power outlets and noise-cancelling headsets.

Eva Air last month joined the international Star Alliance.
