Le Royal Monceau is the latest top-end Paris hotel to receive the prestigious Palace rating from the French government.
The Raffles property completed a lavish Philippe Starck-led renovation in 2010 (see our roundup of Parisian refurbishments in the September 2011 edition of Business Traveller here).
Located on Avenue Hoche, it has 149 rooms and suites. Its two restaurants, La Cuisine and Il Carpaccio, received Michelin stars earlier this year (see Parisian Gourmet in the Business Traveller archive here).
Le Royal Monceau is the sixth Paris hotel to receive the rating, the others being the Four Seasons George V (see online news September 2011), the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme, the Plaza Athénée, Le Meurice and Le Bristol.
France’s Palace rating was introduced by the government in 2011.
