Sofitel So Bangkok offers customised Mini Cooper

20 Jun 2013

Sofitel So Bangkok announced the arrival of its new custom-designed 4-door Mini Cooper Countryman, offering guests a stylish way to explore the city.

Staying in line with the hotel's design, the hood of the car consists of graphic representations of the five elements while the Tree of Life emblem, designed for Sofitel So Bangkok by Monsieur Christian Lacroix, can be found on the sides of the car.

Guests can book the stylish vehicle three hours in advance for travel to and from the airport, business meetings, sightseeing trips, and leisure destinations around the Thai capital.

During the journey, guests can enjoy light snacks including chocolates from Chocolab, a 3G-enabled iPad pre-loaded with the Sofitel So Bangkok app, and specially curated music playlists.

“The So Mini Cooper Countryman is unconventional yet practical,” said Gilles Cretallaz, the general manager. “Along with the convenience of being chauffeured by an experienced auto-pilot who is well-versed in navigating the roads of Bangkok, we offer our guests a stylish, pleasurable way to travel from point A to point B. Time is a luxury that we can help optimize by allowing our guests to make the best use of theirs while on the road.”

Though this limousine service provides guests with iPads, it does not offer wifi internet access, which is a new trend that luxury hotels are jumping on to in order to provide guests with uninterrupted connectivity (see here).
