Aeromexico will take delivery of its first Boeing 787s in August and September.

The Skyteam carrier will fly the Dreamliner on its Mexico City to Monterrey and Mexico City to Tijuana routes on October 1, followed by its Mexico City to New York route between October 2 and 13.

Starting on October 14, the aircraft will begin its thrice weekly route between Mexico City and Tokyo.

Aeromexico will take delivery of its second and third Dreamliners in September – these will eventually serve the daily route between Mexico City and Paris, plus certain weekly flights to New York.

The three Dreamliners are the first of 19 that Aeromexico has on order and will incorporate into its schedule over the next few years.

The carrier joined Skyteam in 2000, and operates European services to Madrid and Paris.

Last year, Aeromexico launched its first service between Mexico City and London Heathrow (see online news, December 2012).
