New comers: Bramasole Cortona 2008 La Braccesca and Avondale Anima 2010.

When were they introduced? March.

Where are they from? The Bramasole is from Cortona, Tuscany in Italy, and the Avondale is from Paarl, South Africa.

What are they like? The Bramasole originates in the town of Cortona, a “controlled wine district" since 1999. The syrah grapes are barrel-aged for 14 months before bottling. The result: Plum notes merge with faint musk to form rich aromas, and subtle herbal notes accompany the finish. The Avondale, meanwhile, comes from a family-run farm on the outskirts of Cape Town. The mineral-rich soil there nourishes the chenin blanc grapes before they are hand picked. Distinctive aromas of tropical fruit mingle with floral hints and a touch of citrus.

Which routes, and in what classes, are they available? Both are available in first class, between Japan and Europe and Japan and North America.
