What are they like? The Bramasole originates in the town of Cortona, a “controlled wine district" since 1999. The syrah grapes are barrel-aged for 14 months before bottling. The result: Plum notes merge with faint musk to form rich aromas, and subtle herbal notes accompany the finish. The Avondale, meanwhile, comes from a family-run farm on the outskirts of Cape Town. The mineral-rich soil there nourishes the chenin blanc grapes before they are hand picked. Distinctive aromas of tropical fruit mingle with floral hints and a touch of citrus.
