Regus opens two more lounges in New York

6 Jun 2013 by GrahamSmith

Workspace provider Regus has opened two more business lounges in New York City.

Both street-level lounges - one at 747 Third Avenue in Midtown, which is Regus' flagship U.S. facility, and the other at 275 Seventh Avenue in Chelsea - started welcoming members today.

In addition to the street-level business lounge at 747 Third Avenue, Regus has an additional two floors in the building that have collaborative open spaces, private offices and meeting rooms, which can be booked by the hour, month or year.

Mark Dixon, group CEO of Regus, said: "Research is forecasting that mobile workers will make up 40 percent of the global workforce by 2015.

"Relying on smartphones, tablets and laptops, these 1.3 billion workers are free to work anywhere but are often unable to locate a professional place to conduct business.

"Our workspaces are designed to keep up with the needs of modern work habits, which include more interaction, collaboration and spontaneity."

From £35 per month, Regus offers workers on the move unlimited access to any of its 1,500 business lounges worldwide.

Last month, Regus launched a business lounge in a Welcome Break service station on the M4 (see online news, May 27). The high-tech Regus Express hub is located at Membury Services, ten miles outside Swindon.
