Etihad Airways has launched a "meet and greet" service for passengers arriving on flights at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
The service can be booked up to 48 hours before travel and is designed to make it easy and quick to collect luggage and pass through Abu Dhabi immigration and customs, the airline claims.
The Silver Package includes a personal welcome on arrival with one staff member for every one to five guests, immigration fast track and assistance with baggage collection. The cost for this package is $38 (£25) per person.
The Gold Package includes all of the components of the Silver Package, but with one staff member for every guest and a personal porter to collect and transport baggage through the airport to curbside. The cost for this package is $65 (£42) per person.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Airways chief commercial officer, said: "We are always looking at ways to make flying with Etihad Airways easier and more enjoyable.
"Being met by a friendly face and helped with luggage and guided through immigration and customs makes the process a breeze."
Earlier this week, Etihad launched a non-stop service to Sao Paulo, the carrier's first destination in South America (see online news, June 4).
