4 Jun 2013 by GrahamSmith

American Airlines is increasing its flights to Heathrow from Dallas-Fort Worth and Miami for the winter 2013/14 season.

The carrier will operate 17 weekly flights from Dallas Fort Worth to LHR this coming winter, starting on October 27. This is up from 14 weekly in winter 2012/13.

All 17 services will be operated by a Boeing 777-200ER/-300ER, instead of a Boeing 767-300ER/777-200ER, reports airlineroute.net.

The Miami to London route will increase from ten weekly flights in winter 2012/13 to double daily this winter. These services will be operated by a Boeing 777-200ER, instead of a Boeing 767/777.

AA is already taking bookings on the increased flight schedule to Heathrow.

It also emerged today that American Airlines is introducing its B777-300ER aircraft on the London to Los Angeles route on June 12. The plane already flies from Heathrow to New York JFK and from Heathrow to Dallas Fort Worth.
